For as long as I can remember, I have been deeply passionate about wildlife and animal welfare, the environment, travel and photography. When I'm not out in nature or supporting animal welfare and environmental causes, you can find me behind the lens of a camera.

I picked up my first SLR camera 35 years ago. It was a Zenit 35mm film camera. I was 16 years old. Since then, I have always had a camera at hand. However, an increasingly hectic lifestyle saw my passion for photography dwindle to casual opportunities here and there.

When my husband and I relocated internationally for his work, I suddenly found myself with time on my hands. It was a chance encounter with a couple of local bird photographers, and the thrill of seeing and photographing, with much assistance, the 'star' birds present during that encounter, that my passion for photography and my love of birds and wildlife collided.

Since then I have become an avid birder. I love nothing more than exploring the great outdoors and observing the incredible diversity of bird species that exist around the world. I also thrive on the challenge of capturing stunning images of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitats and sharing such images in the hope of raising awareness of the natural beauty that often surrounds us but is largely overlooked.
